Career
MSSA is committed to helping Media Studies students build the skills and connections needed to succeed in their careers. Through a variety of events and initiatives, we provide opportunities to develop professionally, gain insights from industry experts, and prepare for life after graduation.

Our professional development offerings include workshops on resume building, interview preparation, and career exploration tailored to Media Studies students. We also host alumni panels, where you can hear firsthand from graduates about their career paths, challenges, and advice for entering the media industry. In addition, we collaborate with the Career Center to provide workshops that help you tailor your application materials and gain the confidence to pursue your desired career.

Community

We understand the challenges that come with navigating the major, and we’re here to offer guidance, support, and collaborative opportunities for academic growth.

Our academic support includes study sessions for core Media Studies classes, where you can review key concepts, share resources, and collaborate with your peers to deepen your understanding. We also offer peer advice on course selection, helping you make informed decisions about which classes to take based on your academic goals and interests.
